    It all depends on how long you are willing to pay it and whether or not you decide to keep it.

    However, you still have the option to get a 30-day protection plan after purchasing your product.

    If you are a Lowe’s Pro customer, you have 30 days to register the serial number for your protected item, but it will still be covered.

    This means that each product plan can have a different duration. A protection plan standard for power tools may last as long as four years.

    Also, protection plans begin when your product arrives or after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired.

    If you decide to cancel the plan within 30 days, however, you’ll receive a partial reimbursement.
