How do I read my Walmart receipt?
The most predominant feature on any Walmart receipt is the purchased product names, their unique serial numbers, and price with any discounts applied. The extended numeral code at the bottom is the receipt number. A, B, P, R, & S represent sales tax compliance. N, X & O signify the tax status. What Does the Numeral Code on Walmart Receipts Signify?
Below is a list of codes and their meanings which you fill find towards the top of the receipt below the address of the Walmart store.
You can now move on to the more obvious numbers. The 12-digit serial number is listed in the middle section of each receipt. It’s unique to each purchase.

Walmart states the names of each product purchased on that transaction and are typically shortened product names using abbreviations. For instance, “Org” means organic while “VG” and vegetables refer to vegetables.
You can also find an item by its unique serial code listed down the middle of the receipt. The serial code is usually on high-value items such as consoles, radios and televisions.
To find the alphabetical name of a product and its details, type that number in to Walmart.com’s search bar.
You can also scan the QR code found on the receipt via the Walmart+ app. A picture should be included with every receipt.

The return policy for Walmart is usually located on the backside of your receipt. Returns can be made within 90 days, starting from the date printed on the front of your receipt underneath the barcode.

If customers wish to receive a complete refund, they will need the receipt. They are easy to forget.
Walmart makes it easy to find your receipts online, so you can easily recover them. The zip code of your purchase or the city and state where it was made, along with the date and amount of receipts, will be required.
