Target gift cards allow customers to browse thousands of products both online and in-store. These make great gifts for friends and family, giving them the freedom to purchase whatever they like.
Target no longer accepts returns on any gift cards, except those purchased before 2022. The original receipt is required to return the gift cards. Target applies its standard returns policy to items purchased with gift cards.
Target’s Specialty Gift Card Return Policy: What are the terms?
According to Target’s gift cards return policy, specialty gift cards that include restaurant, entertainment, and lottery cards are not eligible for returns.
You cannot return any of the Target specialty gift cards such as Apple, eBay or Uber cards.

If you purchase a Visa, MasterCard or American Express card, the return policy will depend on when it was purchased.
The gift card is non-refundable if purchased on or after the 10/1/20.
