Coway HEPA Purifier, AP1512HH HEPA. After using the purifier for months in my house, I have come to love it as my preferred HEPA filter. These devices are available at a range of prices, although they have seen some price fluctuations over the years. However, their list price for the 361-foot coverage is very reasonable. Coway stands out from other purifiers within its price range due to its ion-filtration technology. This removes dust, pet dander and other allergen particles. The Coway’s unique, retro design was one of my top picks among all devices.
This air purifier has helped me to experience fewer allergies during difficult times. A colleague’s mother also recently bought a Coway for smoke in her home during the West Coast wildfires, and she noticed an immediate improvement in the air quality.
The ionic filtration tech isn’t a major plus. However, it won’t produce any significant ozone as demonstrated by the California EPA. If you want an air purifier for a midsize room, Coway’s HEPA air purifier is one of the best air purification options around with one of the most adventurous looks.

You can reduce some outdoor aggressors by closing the windows, but indoor pollutants are still present, including mold and dust. According to The Environmental Protection Agency, indoor polluting can have five times the amount of outdoor pollution. An air purifier will reduce the amount of pollutants in your home and make it easier to breathe.
Misha Kollontai is responsible for testing air purifiers at CR. She says, “The top air purifiers tested were able to remove very small particles from the air.” “They have a very low noise level. This is great as they can operate round the clock.” Kollontai says that air purifiers are effective in eliminating small particles. One human hair measures 100 millimeters in size. The change in particle concentration is measured as the purifier runs for between 15 and 30 minutes, at the fastest speed. We then switch to a slower speed. These machines can be run all day, every day. We measure the noise level at each speed and then calculate the annual operating cost for replacement filters and energy consumption.
